RAPID ACCESS CLINIC

Our Rapid Access Clinic is open everyweekday. Doors open at 7am for registration now and early arrival is advised. Patients with a referral and a single skin issue can walk-in and wait to see a board-certifed dermatologist. Please be aware that due to physician shortages, capacity is limited and not everyone can be accomodated.

Patients with a referral are welcome to book a medical dermatology appointment for a specific time and date. We diagnose and treat many skin conditions including acne, rosacea, rashes, fungal infections, and more.

We provide the most advanced cosmetic dermatology treatments available, with a focus on solutions for all skin shades and skin types. This includes Botox®, dermal fillers, IPL, laser treatments, skin tightening, and more.

We work in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry and Health Canada to run studies and clinical trials. We welcome patients to apply and participate in trials to test the efficacy of new treatments.

Dear Patients,

As winter sets in, and the temperatures drop we kindly ask for your patience and understanding while using our Rapid Access Clinic. 

  • To help minimize your time outdoors, we’ve adjusted our processes to start earlier and expedite registration. Please be prepared for the cold weather and dress accordingly, as waiting outside will be necessary. Pressuring staff to come inside will not speed up the process and will cause delays. If you are not comfortable waiting outdoors please do not use this service. 
  • A referral is required to see a specialist—no exceptions. This is a walk-in clinic with referral as you are seeing a specialist and the clinic is operated on a first come first serve basis. Please note that follow-up appointments are not handled through the walk-in clinic; contact us to book a follow-up.
  • We continue to address the challenges of the national healthcare crisis and dermatologist shortage by offering our Rapid Access Clinic services to help patients like you access care sooner.
  • Lastly, please listen carefully to our phone message, as it contains important information that will be repeated when you speak to us.

Winter Clinic Announcement
Dear Valued Patients, We hope this message finds you well. At AvantDerm, we always strive to provide you with the best possible care and service. However, we regret to inform you that this week - March 18th and next week, we will be operating at lower capacity for the Rapid Access Clinic due to unforeseen physician shortages. As a result, we kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this time. We will only have one doctor scheduled for the next couple of weeks and we will do our best to accommodate as many patients as possible. Our regular hours of operation for the Rapid Access Clinic are from 8am to 11am but we will need to cut off the line when we reach capacity (sometimes even before 8am depending on how many people are in line) and turn some patients away due to the high volume of patients. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that your dermatological needs are met with the highest level of care and professionalism.
